Shoba is the 1st born son of the inseparable celebrity music couple, Maskandi King Ihhashi Elimhlophe (the White horse) and Ebony a supreme diva of the 80’s/90’s. Born in Soweto South Africa during the vibrant 80’s – He began his music career very young at the age of 5yrs when he joined Ihhashi Elimhlophe as a dancer.
In 1998 He and his 3siblings formed ‘Amaponi’ (Baby Horses) a traditional music outfit that was to break all barriers of teen music at the time. Amaponi broke through the industry with their hit singles and well received albums. They took South Africa by storm and travelled the world.
Shoba together with his band Amaponi have released 5 albums to date since their debut in 2008. They became a very popular outfit at a very young age. Their brand resonates with many music lovers across South Africa. They continue to perform locally and internationally. Shoba forms part of the lead vocals as well as the dance team . This young man is a dynamite on stage. His stage presence is a stern reminder that he is born of a legend. . Over time the group stopped recording to give each other time to explore other interests. He contnues to perform with his father as Ihhashi Elimhlophe.
