Ayanda is a South African actress best known for playing the title role in the SABC1 sitcom Nomzamo, since 2007. It is her however her current role as Phumemele on Isibaya That has cemented her presence in the acting industry. A role which saw her twice nominated for the Royalty Soapie Awards. She also played the role of Busi in the fourth season of the SABC1 drama series Home Affairs, in 2009. In 2011, she played the role of Musa, a pregnant HIV positive woman,in SABC1 Soul City. Minor cameo roles include Generations and Leon Shuster’s Mr Bones. Apart from acting, Ayanda has also done TV presenting and voice-overs for Mindset Learn, being the Zulu face for Brand Power adverts, as well as presenting the gospel show, Mzansi Revival Hour on SABC 1. Ayanda...the entrepreneur...Ayanda previously worked with TBWA Gavin Reddy Hawn Adverting agency, which was part of the TBWA Hunts Lascaris Group. She later moved to Adworx, an in-house advertising agency for giant music distributor Music For Pleasure, before joining Grundfos Pumps, the second largest pump manufacturer in the world, as Marketing And Communications Manager. Ayanda later joined a small communications company as Chief Operations Officer before venturing into the construction industry as co-owner of Timeless Ware, a floor coverings company, as well as other business ventures. Today she’s come full circle and runs a small scale communications consultant business, Lechem Consulting of which she is founder and director. She’s married to Motaung And together they have 3 children, aged 14, 3 and 14 months. Mom, wife, businesswoman and actress
